Knight Music Academy is a growing community school located in Lake Zurich, IL. Our goal
is to provide exceptional music education and foster community through music.
Position Summary<\/strong>
Knight Music Academy is seeking a PIANO INSTRUCTOR to join our faculty. S\/he will
serve as an integral member of our program team. Responsibilities include:
\u2022 Provide weekly private Traditional and\/or Suzuki piano lessons for ages 5 years
through adult at beginner, intermediate and advanced levels of study
\u2022 Teach weekly group piano classes (Suzuki only)
\u2022 Attend faculty and curriculum meetings
\u2022 Attend student recitals
<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Qualifications<\/strong>
\u2022 Minimum of B.A. or B.M. in piano pedagogy or performance or B.S. or B.M.E. with
piano concentration, Master\u2019s Degree preferred
\u2022 Book 1 Suzuki training, or willingness to obtain training, a plus
\u2022 One or more years of experience in teaching piano
\u2022 Appreciation for the importance of music education
\u2022 Willingness to embrace parent participation and empowerment
\u2022 Ability to work collaboratively with Knight Music Academy faculty and management staff
\u2022 Exceptional teaching and interpersonal skills
<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Status, Compensation, and Benefits<\/strong>
Part-time, hourly position. Compensation is competitive and
commensurate with experience and education. Discount on retail merchandise in our on-site
boutique.
