Piano Lessons

Knight Music Academy offers Piano lessons for children and adults. Whether you are an absolute beginner or have played for years, the faculty of Knight Music Academy can accommodate your needs. Students will learn note reading, technique, theory, musicality, in the context of exercises and pieces. We offer private one-on-one lessons in 30, 45, or 60-minute sessions, and the opportunity to perform and showcase what you have learned in seasonal recitals.

Piano Club

Our monthly Piano Club is a fun and friendly group activity open to piano students currently enrolled in private lessons at Knight Music Academy. The Club meets once a month for a 45-minute group session, giving piano students the opportunity to make friends with other kids who share their musical interests. Activities vary from month to month, but may include musical games and improvisation exercises, and performing solos in preparation for recitals. The Club ends with a snack and friendly conversation.
Benefits include:
  •  Learning with others can be more fun
  •  Students learn from one another
  •  Students learn positive ways to compliment their peers, encouraging active listening and strengthening communication skills
  •  Students become accustomed to playing before others, which helps to calm nerves and prepare for recitals
  •  Teamwork and a social environment help to balance out the loneliness of individual practice, and gives students more incentive to practice

Piano Duos

Students are matched with a duo partner and receive bi-weekly coaching on assigned repertoire. The benefits of this class include the strengthening of reading skills, and development of ensemble skills. Additionally, participants have the opportunity to socialize with other student pianists, and to perform in recitals. Classes are 15 or 30 minutes in length. This class is by invitation only.
