New Classes This Fall

Fiddling Classes
The Knight Music Academy is pleased to offer a fiddling class on Saturdays this Fall. This class will introduce students in Suzuki Book 2 and above (or equivalent) to American folk, bluegrass, and Irish fiddling. We will explore bowing styles, rhythms, and ensemble playing that make this style so unique. Open to violin, viola, and cello. Please speak with instructor if lower than book 2 and interested. Students should purchase a copy of Fiddle and Song Book 1 before the start of class.

HandsON! Percussion
Join us as we take a “hands on” rhythmical trek around the World! HandsON! Percussion is an interactive exploration of the Percussive Arts and World Percussion Instruments! In a group ensemble setting, students will learn about various traditional and not-so-traditional percussion instruments including: Steel Drums, African drums, hand-held percussion instruments…and even the ever famous “Bucket Drum!” Rhythms of various cultures will be explored…and a few percussive surprises along the way!
Open to all Knight Music Academy students. Music students not currently studying at Knight Music Academy are welcome!
Currently enrolled KMA percussion students are strongly encouraged to join this ensemble class and further their Percussive Arts experience!
Class length: 45 min.
